What a snarky column!
I know the 45/70 can drop dangerous game with heavy handloads but it must be hellaciously painful to turn one loose from a light Marlin Model 1895.
This is the most major company which makes safari-grade ammo for 45/70 and the claim is that it puts African game down better than the large magnums do. It's generally meant to be shot with Marlin rifles.
