Thanks for the interesting and informing reply. I’m a member of EAA, but due to work load have time for Oshkosh, and little time otherwise.
Have to get ready for Light sport and old age.
Probably a good idea. I may not be able to pass a medical, now and if I get an implant defibrillator, I guarantee I won’t pass. At least I haven’t failed a medical.
Of course what all that means, is I can fly with a co-pilot, or light sport, and around here winter puts a crimp in flying, oh, about 5 months of the year.
Lots of real fine aircraft here and mostly good decent folks with about 6 or 8 real butt heads
Sounds like a little bit of heaven except for the butt heads? Just what would we do without butt heads? Enjoy life just a bit more perhaps.
I use to belong to EAA Fort Pierce but it amounted to a bunch of old farts that were a lot of talk but little flying.
For stated reasons, and one month from 70, I have an appreciation for what those old farts may be going through. So remember them, when you slip the surly bonds of earth, and dance on laughter-silvered wings.
It just gets tedious though.
I also have a sailboat I use 2 or 3times a week at club med and watch
most boats never leave the dock.
But they all talk a good game.
