Minuteman Project founder Jim Gilchrist endorses Rick Perry for Texas governor
The Dallas Morning news ^ | February 24, 2010 | GROMER JEFFERS JR.

Minuteman Project founder Jim Gilchrist on Wednesday endorsed Rick Perry for re-election as governor.

"I had to come 1,200 miles to find a governor who believes in a simple principle called the rule of law," Gilchrist said at the Crescent Hotel. "I'm here to encourage all you Texans to stand your ground and get out there and vote for this governor."

DMN Editorial Board recommendations

Gilchrist later added that "Perry has a clear record of decisive action to secure our borders, stop illegal drug and human trafficking trade and is very clearly the right choice for voters in Texas to fight illegal immigration."

In accepting the endorsement, Perry blasted the federal government's effort to secure that nation's borders.

"Washington's record on border security has been one of indifference, of neglect and failure," Perry said. "That's why Texas has been stepping up with resources to fill the gap left by Washington."

For God's sake, has anybody really looked into Medina's platform- her background? Has this woman even been vetted?

Are we so desperate to clean house of 'career politicians' that we jump on the bandwagon of an unknown ex-nurse, owner of a mom and pop small business, with zero experience, questionable judgement and loyalties and who worked on the RON PAUL presidential campaign???

Do we just kick out Perry because toofer moonbat Medina and RINO Hutchison say so- even though Texas is faring better than almost any state in the union under his governorship (since 2000)??

I DON'T THINK SO!

Before we boot Rick Perry out, we'd better take a good long look at how Texas stands in comparision to other states today, and be D*MN sure we know just what we are replacing him with.

Maybe a true Conservative will emerge in the future for Texas but we have no choice this election year.

Did you know:

Medina wants legalized drugs.

Medina backs gay marriage.

.

She has not spoken to her elderly parents for YEARS. They had to find out she was runing for governor of Texas by reading the newspaper!

http://www.statesman.com/news/texas-politics/medina-hailing-from-beeville-learned-political-skills-on-229907.html?srcTrk=RTR_95609

What does this say about this woman's character?

And rumors are begin to surface about husband Noe's past associations.

Take a look at some of the statements she has made: "It’s a shame isn’t it, that Republicans continue to ignore Hispanics especially here in Texas?’

"Who is going to think more about Latino families? Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison or me, who has a Latino family?”

"Being married, however, to someone with a Mexican American heritage, I certainly embrace the culture.”

"I believe we too often get into race when it’s immaterial.” (Obummer, is that you?)

At 3:30 on this video Medina asks, "why were there no police killed on 9 11". (???) http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/politics&id=727469

I don't believe for one minute Medina's propaganda about wanting to strengthen the border!

La Raza probably has her in their back pocket!

This idea that Beck (or anybody else) sabotaged Medina is absurd. If you can’t answer “did the govt have anything to do with the 9/11 attacks?” you're not be fit to run for dogcatcher.

Glenn Beck has once again helped the tea-party stay in the Republican mainstreamby by weeding out dangerous fringe thinkers like Medina.

Medina is NOT representative of the Tea Party movement. She USED them- latched herself on to them. She’s a hard core Libertarian who has realized that the Libertarian Party will never win anything and that the only possible way to get herself into office is to do what Ron Paul did and wrap herself in the Republican cloak in hopes that it will fool enough of the voters enough of the time. Thank God Glen Beck outed her in time.

Retrieve your sombrero from the ring and go home Senora Medina. You're Texas toast. .

Ah, Perry, always the fair weather candidate. No, Perry, you haven't done a thing to curtail illegal immigration. You signed away your own citizens' children's right to a desk in a state university in allowing illegals in at state fees. The only reason you're getting my vote is that she is a rat every day while you act Republican every four years. You won my vote by this // much.

Medina was estranged from her parents because they are racist and refuse to accept her Hispanic husband.

Roger that. Perry sucks the least, and has awesome hair. That is why he gets my vote. Also, I am finding out that a lot of Aggies vote for him simply because he went to that school. Talk about "lack of critical thought". My wife, God bless her, is one of those people: "He went to A&M, and so did I, so yay!".
