The things that amuses me most about Gergen’s comment is that it was he and his pals in the MSM who made Barry and his cohorts think he was untouchable and in the lead after that meeting...

If Barry would spend more time watching FOX instead of watching MSNBC and CNN he never would have gotten into this summit thing. He is so used to his inner circle telling him how wonderful he is and watching the Olberfuhrer and Maddow say how brilliant he is that he thought he could walk on water. During the ‘summit’ I think it finally dawned on him that not everyone is drinking the Kool Aid, and that is when his demeanor changed.
