McCain is in a reelection fight...when he is not, he uses terrible judgement as a legislator.

Just awful. Global warming, cap and trade, campaign finance...just to name a few.

So on balance, he is bad for Republicans.

Yes, McCain would be tolerable as a Congressman with a conservative constituency, but as Senator elections don’t come along often enough to keep him in line.
