Weiner's "Take Down" on the House Floor

Republicans tried to "take down" Congressman Anthony Weiner on the House floor today in a heated exchange that happened after Weiner called the Republican Party "a wholly owned subsidiary of the insurance industry."
The exchange took place during debate on a bill to lift the insurance industry's exemption from antitrust rules.
Republican Dan Lungren, sounding quite offended, invoked a little used House rule and demanded that Weiner's words "be taken down" -- as in stricken from the record.
Weiner, for a moment, appeared contrite, asking for his words to be amended. Though he had promised to "substitute other words", he resumed with an even more caustic attack -- and pretty much the exact same wording.
"Make no mistake about it. Every single Republican I have ever met in my entire life is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the insurance industry."
Listen for yourself.

For some strange reason leftists enjoy being the center of embarrassment. I, of course, encourage this ridiculous, childish, idiotic, out of control behavior.

Most politicians are the pocket-pets of insurance companies, but I don’t see how the Socialist plan of the Marxocrats, who want to punish me for not buying insurance from the companies they claim to despise, is somehow proof of Weiner’s superiority.

Can somebody look up if he has gotten campaign money from insurance agency?
To: Libloather
NBC liked it. The Oregan Repub looks like too much of a gentleman to give it back to him - instead he let’s him continue. I’d be chomping at the bit to attack back.

He needs to avoid words like “thubtidiary”.

...Weiner called the Republican Party "a wholly owned subsidiary of the insurance industry." Um....one political party is trying to force 30 million people to become insurance industry customers against their will.
Hint: It's not the Republicans.

Weiner called the Republican Party "a wholly owned subsidiary of the insurance industry."...he's just mad because the Democrats are a wholly owned subsidiary of the trial lawyers, and the insurance companies frequently end up beating the pants off of the lawyers in court......

"Make no mistake about it. Every single Republican I have ever met in my entire life is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the insurance industry."
Make no mistake about it. Everyone who owns a broad based mutual fund or participates in a pension (union or company) is a part owner of an insurance company. The insurance companies in turn, have their funds invested in bonds, both corporate (maybe the company you work for) and government, as the most stable form of backing for their liability.
So. Pot? Kettle?
