Dude, basically she was struggling with spending time with her child and being spokesperson for the Governor of Alaska and now with Palin traveling around the country almost weekly now instead of just being in one state, Alaska and Stapleton being part of the staff traveling with her, it would be difficult.

So the advisor signs on to be with a governor of a state, gets pulled into a presidential race, and now is along for a national book(s) and speaking tour with no apparent end in sight — and she wants to get back home to her kid after 2 years.

Yeah, real shocking — to anyone who has never traveled for work, put in long hours, seen a job grow and grow under them, etc., etc.
