Maybe the Federal Government should sell some of it's land in the Western states. Same goes for the States and Counties.

You mean stuff like Gold, Silver, Nickel, Uranium, low sulfur Coal, natural gas, and oil shale?

How about the renewable green resources on top of that government land like Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Redwood, Pine, Yew, etc...
