Should Stack’s wife be able to collect on any insurance policy?

I doubt if insurance will pay out, suicide and arson on the house. This guy's wife and kid got nothing.

Forget life insurance.

What if she writes a book and lo and behold it sells. Should she profit? Suits like this will skim off anything she gets as a result of Stack’s death.

That makes his a selfish, murdering coward who left his family to deal with his misery and caused another family to suffer the loss of a loved one.

Suicide is not universally excluded on life insurance. There is often just a time-frame exclusion to prevent you from getting a policy and immediately offing yourself.

The guy committed a crime, but I don’t see the logic or justice in punishing his wife for it.

Most life insurance will pay out on suicides after the policy has been in effect for a certain number of years.
