What if she writes a book and lo and behold it sells. Should she profit?

Since the crazy loon's wife is not the killer, the fabled "Son of Sam" law may not apply here. The money would be hers. That's why they are suing her now, to attach future earnings.

If the case is not dismissed, they may win and get a judgment. The likely scenario is that the crazy loon's wife will be unable to pay that judgment. The only asset she may have had was the house that crazy loon burned down. In all likelihood, nobody will get anything, including her. He already made sure of that.
