Virtually unknown a year ago, Glenn Beck has rapidly risen to the top of the right-wing punditocracy. Witness his keynote address at CPAC, where the Fox News titan assailed Republicans and Democrats alike and called for a return to bedrock conservative values. Though conservatives bloggers were nonplussed by Beck's attacks on the right, most praised at least some elements of his speech.
Agreed, Rush just moved right over the topic on his way someplace else; this is more made up events passing as news.
Yes he did.
Tuesday, within the first hour.
Rush pretty much hit back many times on Beck’s mantra that there is not real difference between the parties. Beck might not understand it but he’s making people disillusioned and will discourage people from voting in November.
That’s right. I stand corrected.
Rush was definently taking underhanded pot shots at Beck today.
Ditto, he was being arrogant and out of line, IMO...he answered the little old lady’s call and said he didn’t criticize Beck, then kept mocking Beck by saying Republicans are the same as Dems. IMO, Rush and Levin are acting “small”...Beck has said nothing against them.
He was making fun of GB. Fair enough. Claiming he wasn’t? Disingenuous at best.
I heard this....and Rush made reference to *being hacked* ;
Every once in a while Rush could be heard to say *Republicans suck*.
I took it as a gentle tweak at Glenn’s concern that “it’s not good enough for Republicans to suck less than Democrats”.
Hoping that all of our conservative rabble rousers understand that they are like family - and public family feuds scare the neighbors.
It's a concerted effort based on disinformation.
Just consider the source...unless you would like to form a circular firing squad.
Im sorry, what pin hole are you looking through; Rush disagrees with that point outright!
BS, Rush says we are smart. He is acting like we are not. Geesh which is it? We know the difference, Why the hell does he think pubbies are winning? His love for Levin is causing this.
Rush has tweaked him a bit but Rush has been hard on the pubbies too. Rightly so......look what they are doing to Palin, Rubio and the conservative base.
Then there are these little gems...McCain Huckster, Pawlenty, Newt, Barbour, Romney and on and on.
Ahhh, so we should be spending time touting McCain, Snowe, Graham, Collins, et al?
Beck is targeting progressives, they are where the rot resides, D or R.
re: Rush was being a complete jerk today. Every ten minutes, the basketball buzzer goes off and he says something about the Republicans sucking. All the while he was maintaining that he wasnt mocking GB.
This is not the case. Yesterday Rush mentioned how he keeps getting email and calls about how the Republican Party sucks, how he (Rush) sucks, and how whatever he says and does isn’t good enough. So, he turned the tables and said, “Ok, if we all suck and the Republicans suck - then what’s your plan - who is your candidate that you will back and win with? And, how will you accomplish this without giving Obama and the Dems a helping hand by dividing conservatives?
My point is that Rush was tired of hearing how he and all republicans and republican politicians all suck and he wanted to hear how “they” were going to fix everything.
Rush didn’t mention Beck by name, only by inference. Rush believes that Obama will produce a third party (a new Perot) to split the conservative vote.

“”But to each his own. There are motivations for people who do what they do — and I, as a highly trained broadcast specialist, I think I know what’s going on and why various people are doing what they’re doing and taking positions that they’re taking. But the best way to insure that Obama succeeds is to think that we need a third party. All the momentum that we’ve got going right now is just going to hit a brick wall if a third party starts, particularly on the basis that there’s “no difference between the two parties.” I guarantee you there’s not a Republican I know, elected or unelected, that would propose anything Obama has. They haven’t joined him. We are at this great crossroads in our history because of people who hold a particular ideological point of view. I don’t care what you want to call them. I call them liberals because that’s what they hate and that’s what they are and that’s what the American people reject. “”
Illustrating absurdity by being absurd. (For those of you in Rio Linda)
So I've heard. Every night on Beck for months on end. Is there a time limit to this? We going to hear and read it every thread, every time we turn on Beck until the election and then hear it some more? If so, what is the purpose? You think people are unaware there is no perfection or anything close to it in politics? You think this is new? It isn't you know. Only thing new I can detect is the endless complaining. Used to be the complaints were directed at those responsible and they were forced out. We've dumbed that down into a generic everybody does it. Sign of our cultural decline I suppose.
We need candidates that are going to lower taxes, decrease spending, and follow the Constitution.
The last thing can mean anything. Its the oldest charge in American politics. Started in the first congresses. Right now following the constitution is even more impossible than it was then. We're not going back to delegated powers even if we had a revolution. A President can't overturn Wickard nor the other atrocities which are part of constitutional law.
Rush’s message: Get with the program, Beck.
RUSH NEVER pummeled Beck. In fact, Rush said he does not comment on fellow radio personnel.
