(CNSNews.com) -- More than 300 U.S. soldiers have died in the war in Afghanistan since May 15, 2009, the day when the first major wave of new troops ordered by President Barack Obama arrived in the country.
The 308 U.S. casualties in Afghanistan since then account for about a third of the total of 920 U.S. casualties in the eight-year war.
Of the 308 soldiers who have died since mid-May 2009, 287 were killed by enemy action, according to a CNSNews.com database of all casualties in the Afghanistan theatre of war.

And what meaning do you connect with that fact?
Change in ROE’s.
Perhaps this is a reflection the new Rules of Engagement that Obama imposed (where U.S. troops are being left without air or artillery support). To the extent that is true, these deaths are on his tab.
Another point here is that you haven’t heard a peep of outcry from the MSM. If it was Bush in charge there would be the death count on the front page and leading off every broadcast from the MSM.
They’d be screaming bloody murder with the number we’ve lost in the last week!
ROE’s Like the economy, 0bama is doing this on purpose because he is an incorrigible ideolog.
The reason for higher casualty rates - Could be that the troops have to consult a lawyer before they are allowed to shoot at one of 0bamao's muzzie bros.
hello.....Cindy?......Cindy Sheehan?......Hello?.....
Or could it be that there are many times more troops there now than there were when Bush left office? And that action against the Taliban has increased? Nah, that can't be it. </sarcasm>
Yep. You nailed it.
Our new rules of engagement, which are predicated on our soldiers’ fighting with their chins as their hands are now bound behind their backs.
He’s a real piece of work isn’t he? His Obotishness is more evident each passing day.

LOL LOL, you owe me a keyboard.
Uh, troop strength when Bush left office was around 38,000, down from about 47,000. Adding 17,000 troops doesn’t give you “many more times” the number of troops under Obama than under Bush, unless, of course, you’re using liberal idiot math.
So is that the picture you’re talking about? Figures.
When Bush left office troop strength was the highest it had ever been at around 30,100. Obama's more than doubled that. You really think that casualties would not have gone up is a President McCain had doubled the level as well?
