The ObamaCare Suicide Pact

Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are on a Kamikaze mission. And they’re now preparing to ram government-run health care down our throats by using a series of legislative tricks and parliamentary gimmicks.

They’ve just repackaged the same tired ObamaCare ideas that the American people have already rejected... rationed care… drastic cuts to Medicare Advantage… hundreds of billions of dollars in tax increases… the unconstitutional individual mandate… taxpayer-funded abortions… and more.

“we only need to shift a handful of votes to kill ObamaCare once and for all”

I agree with your sentiments and objectives, but respectfully disagree on this. As long as there are collectivists and social parasites among us, this will continue to plague us.

Someone clear something up for me. On Brett Baier’s show last night they said in order to use reconciliation in the Senate, first the House would have to pass the Senate bill, intact, and in total. Then the Senate could use reconciliation.

Is that right? And if so, how do they think they’ll ever get enough votes in the House to do that?

Hardcore Evidence of Coverup (to get Obamacare to Samoa for Pelosi and her companies)

“D.C. Tech Official Is Accused of Bribery(Birth Certificate Forgery)
A D.C. government official and a business executive were arrested yesterday on bribery
charges involving city technology contracts that included "ghost" workers and
kickbacks, federal authorities said. Until recently, the technology office was headed
by Vivek Kundra, who has taken a job as President Obama's chief information officer.
A White House official confirmed last night that Kundra has taken a leave of absence.
“Yusuf Acar, 40, who has worked in the technology office since 2004, was charged with
bribery, conspiracy, money laundering and conflict of interest.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Hibarger told a federal judge that Acar is a flight risk because agents
seized $70,000 in cash in his house and because in recorded conversations, he boasted that he could easily flee to his native Turkey.
Acar also told the informant that he could use
computers to create fake D.C. birth certificates, Hibarger said. “

The Bill won't pass the House, if it could, they would have passed it.

This is all a bunch of hot air to keep drawing out what is already dead.

Precisely, and having already been burned on the Public Option and Cap n Tax, none of the House Democrats trust the Senate Democrats on this point. They are floating some idea where the Senate would pass the “fixes” via reconciliation first and then Obama would just sign them in reverse order, but still it seems unlikely they can overcome their mistrust of the Senate.

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.)

Congress plans to block Tricare fee increases
http://www.armytimes.com/news/2009/10/military_tricarefees_blocked_100709w

By Rick Maze - Staff writer, Oct 7, 2009

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

Snip

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Snip

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.

Bambi doesn't keep his promises...so buyer beware.
