Besides the AGW scam, I also wonder if the junk science about global cooling, death by ozone, population explosion to kill a billion or more, alcar scare (almost destroyed the apple industry) made money for the "scientists" and could be subject to their own class action lawsuits.

Oops, forgot H1N1 pandemic that I've not known one person to contract which turned out to be no worse than the average flu, although it's vaccine is still being regularly promoted on TV ads.

All nuclear power could cause the China syndrome, Chernobyl notwithstanding (think Russian crap). 3 mile island was nothing.

Oh, and that AIDS would spread throughout the straight community and kill millions upon millions in the USA. Supplying a gazillion condoms to third world cesspools was the answer against aids AND the population explosion. BTW, Haiti has warehouses full of condoms that are taking up space for much needed subsistence supplies. Just read that the other day.

Feel free to add to other "political scientific" and "doomsayers'"predictions that never came true.

Here's some more:
1. Scientists/scholars thought the world was flat;
2. Same thought the Sun revolved around the Earth.
3. Same pooh poohed many inventions and practical theoretical applications that turned out to be feasible.

The list goes on and on how so-called esteemed scientists and scholars have been so wrong.
