Tulsa - Republican Vice Presidential Candidate and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is coming to Tulsa next month March 13.
Palin plans to join conservative talk radio and television host Glenn Beck during the Taking Our Country Back Tour, which kicks off March 13th at the Tulsa Convention Center.
The Tulsa stop also features concerts from country music artists John Rich of Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson. Also appearing will be best-selling author and former advisor to President Bill Clinton, Dick Morris. 8 Talkback:
"The Taking Our Country Back Tour is a unifying event for anyone who feels the government is taking this country in directions the Constitution and the Founding Fathers never intended," promoter Tony Holden said last month.About half of the 6,500 seats have already been sold, said Tony Holden, the event's organizer.
***National television networks have expressed interest in airing Palin's speech, which will begin at about 1:30 p.m. The concert begins at noon and Beck's speech will be about 30 minutes into the program, Holden said.*****
The tour is not officially part of the "Tea Party" movement, but supports and endorses the people involved in that organization. The concert March 13 will feature discussion of family values and the national deficit, among other topics, he said.
"Our biggest message to the U.S. government is please, please stop spending our money," he said.
All the proceeds from the concert will go to a yet-to-be determined veterans' organization. Palin and Beck will be having one-on-one session with a few select people that offer charitable donations to the cause, Holden said.
The concert space will have large video screens to broadcast the show, and Palin may spend some of her time answering questions from the audience, he said.
This is a chance for Tulsa to rally," he said. "And I've never been prouder of something in my life."

Yes, but what will she write on her hand.........
Mark Levin should have a word about this.
Yes, Yes she will rite on her hands to get under their skin...
Oh she’s important all right. Not sure where her path will lead but for now, she’s got the full attention of her friends and enemies. And that alone is a good thing, in my humble yet biased Alaskan opinion.
I’m in Tulsa, and I sure would like to see her in person.. that would be cool... but.. sorry, not for $45 a ticket...
I don’t pay that for anyone... LOL...
[but..., I’ll go to rallies and political support groups... :-) ...]
“Yes, but what will she write on her hand.........”
Hoping here that she holds her hand up, palm facing the cameras, and in big bold letters (all caps, of course), it says, “HI CARIBOU CROSSING!”
Actually glad that you mention that because:
Glenn Beck considers Sarah a friend now
Levin loves and respect Sarah
Rush likes and defends Sarah
Bill O’reilly respects and admires Sarah
all of these mean have something against one or another but they all like Sarah
Oh yeah, even the networks want to carry *her* speech LIVE!
SHE’S CITIZEN SARAH AMERICA!
Gretchen is a conservative? Cool
“Who is Lakeshark?”
"My other car is also an F-150."
"Sona si latine loqueris."
The MSM carrying her major speeches live because they know that she shines and indeed there is something about Sarah!
O’Reilly and Beck are not people who can be trusted - at all.
Rush and Levin - can be trusted.
I didn’t say that they can be trusted especially O’Reilly, but the fact that they are figuratively at each other throats yet like Sarah is amazing
You have that backwards...
Right and something about ratings too!
Sarah absolutely drives the media ratings!!!
:-)
