My issue with this whole thingis that global warming climate change the sky is falling scientists claim that the statistical evidence is overwhelming. The problem is the statistics were cooked.
My problem with "global warming...the sky is falling" - more science here - is that if it is warming, the sky would actually be rising due to thermal expansion. Cooling would make the sky "fall."

As brilliant as Sagan was, he made some breathtakingly wrong predictions on the environment - such as his doomsday weather forecast for the Gulf after Saddam set fire to the oil wells during Desert Storm.
LOL! I loved Rush's rebuttal to that theory:
"See, there's this thing called, "Rain....""

I won't be satisfied until everyone involved with this Global shakedown are taking orders for personalized license plates or breaking big rocks into little ones.

I have always liked Joe Bastardi. He used to be the morning radio weather guy in my area (via call-in; he wasn’t local).

Those "props" used by Nye were not cheap. His target is, unfortunately, our children. The educational system is SATURATED with MMGW, everywhere. Where is RICO ? It's orgainized crime if there ever was ORGANIZED CRIME!

I just caught this exchange during the re-play of O'Reilly and I thought it was a complete waste of time. A battle of incomprehensible graphs and charts, all filled in with a running commentary of BS.
By the way, Nye's use of the example of Venus is ludicrous -- Venus has a 100 bar surface pressure atmosphere, comparable to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. It's CO2 atmosphere is completely irrelevant to the issue of CO2 content in the Earth's atmosphere. His science is as good as his politics.

I agree - not exactly clobbered, but definitely out-passioned. Joe was so on top of the facts and out-spoke Bill Nye.
Unfortunately, Bill looks like such a lib weenie, complete with charts, that it was difficult to take him as seriously.

Bill Nye, 'the science guy', couldn't hold a candle to Mr Wizard! Who actually DID science experiments on his TV show.
('Hi Billy, want to help me make some TNT today?' 'Sure thing Mr Wizard.')
(just kidding he was great)

Joe's a good guy Bastardi is the best in the business, IMO. He's nailed the winter long range forecast for my area four years in a row now. Uncanny accuracy. Now that he's put Nye in his place, I wonder if he'd be willing to debate Heidi Cullen over at TWC? Someone needs to get Al Gore to debate, too, but I think old fat Al has gone into hiding....

I saw it and it actually made me cringe.
It struck me that Bill Nye is invested in the “global warming” scam so that he can scare children (ostensibly his audience) and keep his job.
His defense of the scandal was ludicrous and based on a total mischaracterization of what really went on.
I don’t know whether it was the TV makeup or his actual face but he looked ghoulish.
Joe did a fabulous job and was obviously far smarter than poor Bill Nye the Science Guy!!

Mr. Wizard was great.
When Nye went to the Venus card I was half expecting Joe B to go to the Mars card that is for some unknown reason to the global warming crowd, Mars has been getting warmer also. Must be a lot of CO2 in those robots we sent up there I guess.
