Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth is putting to rest any notion that he is a "birther," a believer in the unsubstantiated theory that President Obama is not a natural born U.S. citizen and, therefore, not eligible to be president of the United States.

Especially when those who don't rely on the wisdom of the long-dead Founding Fathers brag about it openly -- as on this forum.
He may very well be a US citizen. But is he natural born?
I noticed that too. But lately we are all running around forming a circular firing squad and setting up a rerun in 2012 just like 2008.
Apparently we just can’t find a person anywhere who agrees with all of our single issues and is willing to throw themselves on the sword to deal with an issue that is explosive, but has no end in sight.
Between all of our self destruction and what the dems are doing I am about ready to cash it all in on the politics.
I guess people do deserve what they get.
Dear God, do people really expect him to give McCain more ammunition in this campaign? I can’t believe the mentality of some people here who want him to brand himself a “birther” and destroy his chances of winning the primary. Look what happened to Medina in Texas.
Of course, since some are single issue voters, they’re ready to toss him under the bus for their one cause. Yes, its important to know whether obama is qualified, but, does anyone seriously think this Congress would impeach him even if its proven he isn’t?
Bachmann is one fine woman --and all the haters in MN and in the country will not stop her. But she needs a decent running mate (if she runs) NOT Mitt K Romney.
I totally agree. I am going to have to sit back and take a count on how many people of our side have been demonized this week by our own side. Heck, the lefties were able to go on vacation from demonizing us.
I thought they way JD handled that was very crafty. Believe me, McLame would brand him “birther” and associate that with “truther”.
Funny John McAmnesty didn’t get Medina to run with him instead of Palin, he caters to LaRaza too! She (Medina) self-destructed and is all thru but McAm slides by because the media would never ask him about LaRaza (his “good friends”...)

CNN conflated the Constitutional issue of natural born with citizen.
JD side stepped the issue ,
he didn’t trash anyone who wonders why Barry has not released his original birth certificate.
I know the exact location where my dog was born and the name of the veterinarian who helped deliver him, but,
I have no idea of the name of the hospital where the president of the United States was born.
I apologize to no one for being curious about the gaps in the president’s biography.
And since he’s shown us what a dishonest and deceitful man he is,
it’s just common sense to wonder why he has not asked Hawaii or his colleges to unseal all his records.
Or why he felt they should be sealed in the first place.

I resent the term “birthers”. I actually want him to produce all of his papers like the rest of us have to when we apply for a job. If you have a college/graduate degree you generally have to produce your college transcripts. All we know about this guy is bits and pieces of his past, photoshopped pictures, a grandmother who died on election eve and what looks like a doctored certificate of live birth.
I believe Obama is a U.S. citizen until I see absolute proof otherwise.
I think that I’ll go down and apply to Delta Airlines .. I wanna fly me a jet!
