While polls show more people drifting away from acceptance of "global warming," the newest superstar among conservatives – Glenn Beck – is embracing it.
"You'd be an idiot not to notice the temperature change," he says. He also thinks it could be caused by man's activity.
At home, he's going green by using energy-saving products.
"I'm willing to do anything but use the CFLs," he says of compact fluorescent light bulbs. "I put them in once and couldn't stand the way they lit up the room."
The kinder, gentler, greener and warmer side of Beck, known as a firebrand conservative, came to light in an interview in USA Weekend.
Beck also has lots of friends on the other side of the political spectrum, he reveals. He calls George Clooney "a good, honest man." Beck says the two of them had an extended conversation about the genocide in Darfur.
"We came to an immediate, completely wholehearted agreement about the situation," Beck says. "That is, to put aside the politics and give troops what they need to protect people over there. He's a good, honest man who believes passionately about doing something about it."
Beck's personal publicist, Matt Hiltzik, is a Democratic power player who helped get Hillary Rodham Clinton elected to the U.S. Senate, says the magazine report.

SO now WorldNetDaily is doing hit pieces on Beck too? I see — some Conservatives just CANNOT stand to see any OTHER Conservative succeed unless THEY have come kind of dog in the hunt. It’s all gotta be about them...
In the case of WND, my guess is it’s a bunch of disgruntled birthers who hate Glenn for not jumping on their bandwagon and following them over the cliff.
In any case, if someone claiming to be a Conservative could watch the Beck speech at CPAC this weekend and find NOTHING to agree with or be encouraged by, then they are more engaged in their own emotional needs and petty jealousy than they are in a movement of Principled Conservatism.
In short, GET BACK ON THE BATTLE LINE, and stop moaning about every Conservative who’s not just exactly like YOU! GEEZ, Conservatives want to snatch defeat from the very jaws of victory!

Beck has some good material, exposing obamas czars radical backgrounds, and marxist friends. Worldnet too has good material, leading the way on obamas failure to produce the same documentation that every worker in the US government with a security clearance has to provide, WND was at the forefront in ridding of us Bill Clinton, they have a long history of doing good for the conservative movement in spite of being a loose cannon at times.
That being said, I find Beck boring, repeating the same material hour after hour and WND site is too hard to read because of the advertisements embedded between stories.
But these shortcomings should be given a pass compared to the common goal each has. If there is some mis understanding between Becks hit piece quoted from a main steam source, let’s try to work it out before jumping the shark on both of these or dividing along lines, as this is exactly the game plan of Obama people,
Just remember we are smarter than them, we don’t fall for man made climate change because we understand elementary school astrophysics that states the earth has been melting glaciers since the end of the ice age, we believe that individuals should have freedom to pool their money as capitalists, abortion is murder, illegal immigration is unfair both to citizens and immigrants and states and people should have the right to govern themselves, and we believe God as the ultimate governor as all these things we believe are things and liberals do not, therefore proving we are smarter, and so we should not trip up in petty divisions they are arranging on us from behind the scenes, we better than that !
Most of the career politicians from either party are corrupt. Democrat or Republican, if they aren’t conservative or don’t have the best interests of this country in mind, supporting the Constitution, throw them out. I don’t hear him attacking the GOP more than the Dems. 0bama and his Alinsky tactics seem to be his number one target. That’s what matters to me.

Many conservatives agree that Obama is all about European style big government but think that using the word “socialist” will play into Obama’s hands. I call Obama a socialist (among other things), and so does Beck. Beck has done more to expose Obama and make people hate him than anyone else, except possibly Rush and Obama himself.
Well and truly stated ... and this from a birther who still archives Beck so my grandchildren will have access to what was happening during the peirod when Progressives finally sent the Republic down the crapper and rewrote Hisotry.
Beck has done more for “our side” then anyone on the planet except for Rush . He is #1 or #2 target of the left and they will do anything to stop him , including lies and scandals. Be VERY careful. The left is trying to divide us in any way they can. Beck has done some big damage to them and they want him stopped at any cost. If he believes in man made global warming he’s a idiot of that subject. Don’t dismiss all he says ..He is right on the money on most everything.I ‘ve missed him the last few days . I’ll wait to see what HE says he said and not some leftist rag “thinks” he said .

Even if he does believe in GW I still support his other political issues. He knows Obama and Co. are Marxist and he is one of the few to really go after them and accomplish something. He is on OUR SIDE folks.

sonic, Glenn already said on his radio show before the article came out that a lot of this is false. I believe the other poster is planting this stuff just for the reasons you described.
