This poster’s editorial is inappropriate, not to mention incorrect. It diminishes the entire site when people try to divine a journalist’s intent.

I read the piece, and it is in no way defending the perp’s actions.

Get a grip, people.

They called the perp a victim. Let that sink in for a moment.

From the article -

Police said the victim lived in the area where the shooting occurred but they did not release his address.

But the journalist had no problem releasing the shooter's address.

Earlier yesterday, friends and family members of the shooting victim placed candles and left written messages on a poster where he fell.

Gee, the guy was just a lovable rogue! He's not a criminal, he's a victim!

I gotta ask myself, is the "journalist" biased? Who should I believe, jra or my own two lying eyes?

“I read the piece, and it is in no way defending the perp’s actions.”

“Toledo police Sunday identified the **victim** of Saturday night’s fatal shooting on Galena Street in North Toledo as Christopher Childress, 21, of North Toledo.

Sgt. William Wauford said Mr. Childress was shot once in the chest when he was confronted by the homeowner, whom police declined to immediately identify over “concerns about his safety.”

Really?

“Earlier yesterday, friends and family members of the shooting victim”

Rather than shooting “vicitm” how about “dead criminal?”
