DOVER, Del. (AP) -- A Delaware grand jury returned a sweeping indictment Monday against a pediatrician accused of serial molestation in what could be one of the worst child sex abuse cases in the nation's history.
The 160-page indictment returned by a Sussex County grand jury charges Dr. Earl Bradley of Lewes with 471 counts of sexual crimes against 103 children.
Attorney General Beau Biden said all of the alleged victims, including one boy, were caught on more than 13 hours of video recordings, some dating to 1998, that were seized from Bradley's office and home.

If this monster doesn’t get the death penalty, he’ll be dead within a week of going to jail.
Tie him to a car and drag him.
Just kill ‘em...
Real slow.
OTOH,Just as an arsonist's dream would be to get on the fire department I would think that pediatrics would be the dream of any MD or nurse with a dirty mind.
hang him
There was 13 hours of video showing him sexually abusing the children. I don’t think that it is going to be hard to prove.
What parent would allow a pediatrician to examine their child without supervision?
My thoughts exactly. A two year old alone with the doctor, are you kidding? I once asked if my 9 year old could see his allergist alone, as I had my three younger children with me. The nurse said not until he is 18. I guess this is why.
It is really too bad the building a big wall around cities and towns is so out of fashion. This case just screams for a corpse being hung on the city walls for the crows to idly peck away.
Med schools and boards are usually pretty good about filtering those types out. Occasionally one does slip through. But he’s been caught now, no way out.

What I am about to write does not remove a speck of personal responsibility from the demon who molested children, ruining the lives of who knows how many. But here goes:
Don't you think the sexualization of culture in general, and of children in particular, may have something to do with this? If you have a basemart that is dark and damp with no air flow, chances are bad mold will grow.
This country, rather than merely reacting to atrocious crimes like this, needs to think what to do to prevent or curtail more of the same. Sexualizing little children - either to wake them up prematurely to sex, or to dress or objectify them as sexual objects for others, is criminal.
Additionally, the death penalty NEEDS to get brought back for sex crimes against children. The fact that few if any child molesters get executed is another crime.
Exactly. Hollywood produces those creeps. We only hear of a few that are especially jarring.
Yes, the trivialization of innocence.
Of course there always were and will be some who will molest children. But in a culture steeped with no holds barred sexual content, and getting more degraded and depraved daily, who is suprised by this? Shocked and digusted, but not surprised.
It’s at the point where condemning sexual perversion is now the sin and crime; the perversion is lauded.
I don’t get it. How was this guy able to get so many children alone?
what do med schools and boards “do” about filtering those types out?.....they can’t do anything....
It is not that simple. A defender of the dominant Hollywood culture would be able to point out two things:
- No mainstream films or other artifacts directly depict underage sexuality or encourage pedophilia; the typical film where the protagonist engage is sexual activity is a love story: sex between consenting adults.
- Anything to do with child pornography is in fact banned; often we hear stories where most innocent things such as taking photos of one’s own children taking baths get persecuted as if a crime was committed. Even nudity of adults is treated somewhat sparingly in R-rated movies, lest they get an X-rated label.
All these are true. The Hollywood is guilty of sexualization of culture, but it has deniability on these two points. The worst product of Hollywood is NOT some depraved movie that pushes whatever envelope is there, it is their everyday content of sex — natural physical acts of love between consenting adults of opposite sex, shown with a degree of modesty. The love story told through the Hollywood prism goes like this: Two people get into mutual physical attraction; obstacles (parents, spouses, church, laws, or war) intervene but in the end they triumph together and consummated their love. The actors do not have to take a single article of clothing off: it is still destructive to teach that a physical impulse is a valid basis of moral human behavior.
In most healthy people the Hollywood Love Story does not lead to serial child molestation. It leads to 50% divorce rate, the next generation raised in re-constituted families by boyfriends and girlfriends and the government becoming the universal surrogate parent. If further leads to milder cases of child molestation, like in a boyfriend suddenly developing a love story type experience with a 15 year old stepdaughter, who herself got all she needed in life from the sex ed and the school nurse.
And then we have the people whose sexual impulse is off the rocker to begin with, the gays, the pedophiles, the rapists. They, too, begin to think with their penises: they saw the same movies and absorbed the same self-indulgent pseudo-morality. In the case of the gays, the process of mainstreaming is nearly complete.
On some level, the society knows it is in crisis, but because it now lacks religion as a regulating factor, it makes laws to fix things. This is how we get the “child pornography” hysteria and people get prosecuted for bare-bottomed grandchildren, while legal pornography becomes a multibillion dollar industry.
We should by all means punish the guilty, but we have only ourselves to blame.
Now, if they’d just let pediatricians get married, he wouldn’t have done these things.
