A WaPo reporter saw it and wrote a story about that. WaPo is hardly friendly with Republicans.
Btw, great hit on a talking point! Do you do this for free?

And yet... McCain still did not release it. Let's do a point by point comparison, shall we?
1A. McCain has never released his certificate in any form.
1B. Obama scanned his certificate and released it to multiple news sources including Daily Kos, FactCheck, and Politifact. It was published on the Internet allowing anybody who wanted to get a look at it.
2A. A McCain aide allowed a single reporter to look at the certificate and report on it. He did not allow him to take any photographs or to transcribe the document.
2B. An Obama aide allowed a team of reporters from FactCheck to look at the certificate and report on it. He allowed them to take as many photographs as they wanted and publish them, which of course they did.
3A. When challenged in court to prove his eligibility to be president, McCain never presented his Birth certificate. Instead, he successfully moved that the cases (there were only three of them) be dismissed for standing.

Gotta tell you... it sure seems to look like McCain has a lot more to hide than Obama does. He has been nowhere near as forthcoming.
PS. Don't bother to post a link to the fake McCain Birth Certificates that are circulating on the Web. They were not released by McCain, but instead by one of the people suing him for eligibility. They have been proven to be forgeries.
