slippery slope argument perhaps but there was some crazy dancing at my prom in 1989. It seems there are other more important things to worry about.

Sigh. These ‘more important’ things don’t just appear on their own. They follow the lesser degradation as surely as the sun rises in the morning.

We didn’t get to the lows where we are now because the date changed on the calendar. It happened because people were too stupid to realize that there is no such thing as ‘just dancing, ‘just a movie’, ‘just a pregnant cheerleader’ and so on. Everything is connected. Dancing, movies and books convey values.

We’ve gone from Elvis’ vulgar dancing, to Samantha Fox shaking her boobs on MTV, to Britney Spears doing a striptease on the Disney channel, to Marky Mark dropping his pants in front of screaming little teen girls, to Fuck for Forest at some rock festival. And similar decay in values has occurred everywhere else.

And after seeing this happen in slow motion people are *still* too stupid to recognize that this has happened and continues to happen. Those boring prudes who protested Elvis were right all along. Every decade since has shown this.

It’s not “just” dancing. Actually it isn’t really dancing, it’s foreplay.

The point is that personal restraint based on morality - respect for oneself and others - has now been thrown in the trash. “So what if the girls are acting like hookers (and look like them too”. “So what if the boys are acting like dogs after a bitch”. Then “So what if half the babies born have no married parents”. And one thing leads to another, as winter follows autumn.

The line which isn’t supposed to be crossed is now so far into the disance behind us it’s not even visible. I was in high school in the 60s and a lot of kids did not have sex, believe it or not. If a girl got pregnant, she “was spending the year at her aunt’s” - in a home for unwed mothers, where the baby would usually be given up for adoption. It was consider by most people shameful to be promiscuous.

Now?

What’s next, live sex on the street with animals?
