” This week’s summit clearly has all the makings of a Democratic infomercial ..”

Well , better late than never .
Respecting the office of the presidency doesn’t mean you have to be Barry’s doormat.
The threat of passing it with reconciliation should makes this an absolute non starter.
Now, what do they do about it ?
Still go like whipped dogs ?
Or respectfully and maturely announce that since Barry has made it abundantly clear that it’s his way or the highway ,
it’s pointless to waste time going.
Announce that not a single Republican will support Barry’s plan and why.
Let the Democrats own this.
Show some PR stones or “ graveltas .”

I appreciate the hard work Boehner has been doing for the last year or so. And I’d never heard of the guy before that.

Isn’t this so extremely embarrassing for the President of the United States to create a reality TV show out of an issue he has screwed up daily for an ENTIRE YEAR ALREADY -— then, to top it off, like a delinquent adolescent, he suddenly and finally comes up with his health care term paper and wants a medal for it?

Does Obambi really think that we, much less the rest of the world, think that the way 20% of the entire U.S. economy gets restructured is by him sitting down at his puter when it’s crunch time just before the televized exam and knocking out a few “ideas” that haven’t even been scored by the CBO? And which are, ON THEIR FACE, mutually exclusive?

Does this clown really think that it is not absolutely cringe-worthy to act as though people buy the bullcrap that you get a bunch of people together for a 4-hour meeting and you solve healthcare?

If it was that easy, I’m pretty sure it would have been done by now.

This man is appearing insane.

I am going to write a book on healthcare. It will be 2000 pages long and you have two hours to read it.

Then on my lunch hour I am going to cure cancer before heading out to spend a few hours finishing up permanent world peace before dinner. Tonight I'll review a few emails on the housing market and write a term paper on how to immediately restore home values to 2007 levels. Wait, scratch that. Tom Brady's on line one --- I need to go give a quarterback clinic in New England tonight. I'll do the housing market miracle tomorrow night.

My personal favorite comment about the American people’s rage against this machine is that “it has not been communicated properly”

I seem to recall ABC doing a full special on health reform so I checked and sure enough:

http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2009/06/obamas_health_town_hall_infome.html

They had a full hour all to themselves. They did not allow any debate or counterpoints. It was on one of the big 3 networks.

And yet, they claim the reason We the People don’t want what they’re selling is because it “hasn’t been communicated properly”. Well if that’s what they think then it seems to me one of three things is going on here:

1 - They are the worst communicators in history
2 - They are wrong
3 - Both 1&2

I called Eric Cantor’s office during lunch and asked if Cantor was going to attend the summit, “Yes” was the answer I got. I asked, “Do you really think that Obama is going to compromise”? The guy who answered the phone said, “I think he’s trying”. What a bunch of BS. Cantor’s office actually thinks Obama is working in good faith. My mom said she’s voting out all incumbents this year, and she’s really not the emotional when it comes to politics.

Rename, repackage, rewrite it a tad smaller, and sell another pig in a poke.

Tennessee has joined several other states in trying to pass a Health Care Freedom Act. NO COLAs for granny, retired Military or retired fed employees. BIG NEW fees for Tricare for Life retired over 65 Military's secondary health ins. (DOD bill already passed, delayed but goes into effect 2011)

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.)

Congress plans to block Tricare fee increases
http://www.armytimes.com/news/2009/10/military_tricarefees_blocked_100709w

By Rick Maze - Staff writer, Oct 7, 2009

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

Snip

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Snip

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.

1 - They are the worst communicators in history

2 - They are wrong

3 - Both 1&2

And 4 - what difference does it make at this point? We The People have spoken: we say HELL NO. Period. End of discussion.

You, Mr. Obambi, have communicated and communicated and communicated and have yet to make the sale. You can boohoo all you want about the reasons, but the fact remains: NO SALE. Good-bye. Sit down. Shut up.
