I thought McNuts was leading the way? Isn't that why he suspended his campaign to scurry back to DC and save the day? Now he's shifting blame?
Who stole those damn strawberries?

I live in Arizona. I don't have any new poll results, but I can tell you his campaign commercials have shifted a bit. Some of them now have Sarah Palin in them, talking about McCain standing up to Obama, not mentioning JD Hayworth.
There's still some of the smarmy anti-JD ones featuring lame one-liners about voting for snake research in Guatemala. Or Guam. Or something like that. However, most of the ads are going after Obama and trying to position McCain as the man who can stop Obama.
Would have been nice if he did that in 2008, but you can't have everything.
I don't know if JD will win or not, but I think he prevents McCain from reaching across the aisle until August at least.

We totally understand John. Now step aside so we can put in a savvy leader who won’t be easily mislead by socialist charlatans with the oldest trick in the book (my 16-year old daughter wouldn’t have fallen for it.)

We have to seriously consider mental health examinations as a requirement for public office. As well as drug and alcohol testing on a regular basis while in office.

After seeing SEIU in action I’m getting to be down on all unions, but they can’t ALL be bad.

The GOP was totally clueless by the Soros/hedge fund attack on the financial markets. Chris Cox at SEC had no clue. They should have jacked up margin requirements, no naked shorting, no shorting of financial stocks etc.
This was a trap set by Hussein, Soros and his cronies. They made tens of billions in two weeks.

Sure can’t imagine why anyone would support McCain. I voted for him in the presidential election because the alternative was NOT an option. Also the fact that Sarah Palin was on the ticket. That made me not choke as hard when I put my x in the box.
I’ve been in quite a quandry lately after hearing that Palin was throwing her support behind McCain in Arizona. There were lots of excuses that went down easily for me at first, like a tall glass of Koolaid on a hot day. But that Koolaid now tastes like bitter lemonade.
McCain is exactly the sort of politician and many of the political views that Palin has spoken out against. I’m disappointed in her decision and had hoped that she would stay strong to her principles and rise above “politics as usual” by supporting the most conservative candidate not the lesser of the two.

Misled??? McCain was the congressional leader (or at least cheerleader) of the whole financial bailout.

McCain: I was misled on the bailout That's as likely as believing IRS employees are sponsoring tea party events.

” . . . the four-term senator says he was misled by then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.”
If McCain really believed this he’d be demanding that Paulson and Bernanke be indicted for lying to Congress. I have no doubt that Paulson and Bernanke lied to the American people, but the Congressional hacks who voted for the bailout knew exactly what kind of scam Paulson-Bernanke-Bush had cooked up and voted for it with their eyes open.

That’s alright John. We were mislead when you said you were a conservative....

Correct. It was TARP, not the so-called Stimulus bill.
