It's interesting, but it also seems to be contradictory. In the article, the manufacturing process is explained. The components and chemicals needed to build it are obtained through "dirty" methods (according to greenies.)

The systems running on landfill waste gasses would necessarily require more waste put in a landfill to maintain it's fuel supply.

That should go over well.

Which is why I'm a fan of plasma arc gasification.
