...The Republican Party is turning back to its conservative roots,...

I've seen no evidence of this, at least not at the leadership level. As long as they continue to push socialists like Charlie Crist, John McCain and Dede Scozzafavas on us, they are only showing that they're ignoring their conservative roots.

The most effective strategy is for conservatives to take back the GOP.

That is true, but it isn't enough. The leadership of the GOP needs to go or conservatives will not have any GOP to take back.

Yes, yes, yes. However, there is only one way to change the GOP leadership. You would have to get involved in GOP politics to have any say in the process. Just criticizing is not enough. It's worthless. Easy to throw darts. Try some action that will help change the situation.

Dede Scozzafava

this points out the differences between beck and levin

many, many of us are looking for an answer on 'what can we do' - every talk show host gets those calls - levin is the only one that gives an answer (that i can recall)

he points out that the answer is not some new grand plan that will cause a magical transformation - he tells us to get involved on a local level - scozzafava was anointed by the local republican 'leaders' - those people need to be thrown out - those are local leaders that can be thrown out - by the locals

I must apologize for assuming that FReepers make an effort to understand one another in a correct way and that sometimes an excited moment causes out bursts of joy with certain language some of us southern Utah hicks are accustomed to using. In discussing my approach to language in a few private messages with others I have been admonished to clean up my certain descriptors and tame it down.

I apologize for my lack of decorum. I hope you will accept it in the manner intended.

Obama is the dumb bastard.
