up. Of the 133,000 people who have signed up for insurance since the plan was
implemented, slightly more than half have received totally free coverage.

Romneycare is a disaster, as most of us knew it would be.

I think the last estimate had the cost overrun somewhere in the neighborhood of $800 million for this fiscal year. I anticipate it will reach a billion very soon, probably around the time we have our own California-type budget coronary.

Then it will become clear to anyone with some sense of logic and reason (that excludes moonbats) that Romneycare is no different than any other socialist medicine program. Either services will be greatly reduced and rationed (particularly for those who get their insurance through the state, i.e., MassHealth) or taxes have to go up on those of us who work to pay our private insurance. Gee, wonder which option the pigs on Bacon Hill will choose?

Frankly, I say we do what another state (Tennessee?) did, and scrap the whole program.

Not sure about TN, I do know HI scrapped it, after less than a year.

Okay, follow me here. If Mitt, on July 9, 2009, gives it an "A" and says "It’s working like we had hoped it would work," that pretty much negates anything in 2007 or when the bill was being debated and signed. He loves it now, in its current form!

One more item of research? He loves it so much he commissioned a $30,000 portrait to highlight it as "his greatest achievement!"

The portrait depicts the governor seated at the front edge of his desk wearing his trademark business suit. Beside him is a small framed photo of his wife, Ann, and ... [wait for it] ... a copy of the health care reform law he called his greatest achievement. [note to mittbots; since this was June, 2009, this means he claims credit and praises the disaster of a healthcare plan the MASS Dems produced]

Tennessee has joined several other states in trying to pass a Health Care Freedom Act. NO COLAs for granny, retired Military or retired fed employees. BIG NEW fees for Tricare for Life retired over 65 Military's secondary health ins. (DOD bill already passed, delayed but goes into effect 2011)
