He appears to be running for President against Woodrow Wilson.

Paul has said some weird crap over the years,

what was the most recent one

That striking at terrorists at Yemen caused the Christmas bomber?

Is this guy going to stop fighting terrorists around the globe?

Flaky and disturbing stuff sometimes........

“There’s nobody in this world that could possibly attack us today. I mean, we could defend this country with a few good submarines.”

“Have you ever read about the reasons they attacked us? They attack us because we’ve been over there. We’ve been bombing Iraq for 10 years,”

“I know a lot of people believe that, and while I haven’t looked at their evidence in detail, there certainly are a lot of unanswered questions about 9/11 and we certainly need an honest and thorough investigation instead of a cover up.”

MR. RUSSERT: How many troops do we have overseas right now?

REP. PAUL: I don’t know the exact number, but more than we need. We don’t need any.

MR. RUSSERT: It’s 572,000. And you’d bring them all home?

REP. PAUL: As quickly as possible. We–they will not serve our interests to be overseas. They get us into trouble. And we can defend this country without troops in Germany, troops in Japan. How do they help our national defense? Doesn’t make any sense to me. Troops in Korea since I’ve been in high school?

MR. RUSSERT: So if Iran invaded Israel, what do we do?

REP. PAUL: Well, they’re not going to. That is like saying “Iran is about to invade Mars.” I mean, they have nothing. They don’t have an army or navy or air force. And Israelis have 300 nuclear weapons. Nobody would touch them. But, no, if, if it were in our national security interests and Congress says, “You know, this is very, very important, we have to declare war.” But presidents don’t have the authority to go to war

Where do you intend to get the money to police the world? We’re broke.

“Where do you intend to get the money to police the world? We’re broke.”

If America, as a force of freedom, steps back from the global stage and does not protect our strategic interests, something else will fill that vacuum very quickly.

Something wonderful like radical islam or Chinese communism or a new ascending Russia going back tot he bad old days of the Soviet Union.

That old “world police” argument isn’t going to win conservatives, that’s not why America has troops abroad.

Ron Paul is not a conservative. He stands on one leg of conservatism and he can’t even get that right.

No conservative thinks Reagan was a failure.

“In 1988 Ron Paul was nominated by the Libertarian Party for president and ran against the Reagan agenda, at one point telling the Dallas Morning News, Reagan was a “dramatic failure” as President. Paul also said, “I want to totally disassociate myself from the Reagan Administration”, Reagan was “a failure, yes, in, in many ways”. Transcript of Paul’s remarks on Meet the Press. Also, see Youtube video of Paul on MTP.”

SO you think we should be the Police of the world. You like the U.N. and big government? You do not believe in the bill of rights or the founding fathers view of the world?

You do know that we are now in Yemen’s civil war right? Kind of like Bosnia that I am sure you supported too. Oh wait you probably against that since that was Clinton who started it right?

According to Bush himself there were no WMDs. Which he through ever conservative and Republican under the bus after that defended Bush for years on the attack in Iraq.

Did Iraq attack us on September 11th? No...

Do you even know the rules of engagement. I’ll give you a hint. They are politically correct. Screw taking care of business and getting out.

You have to be honest and ask yourself why are we still in Germany and Japan? Do you even understand history and what happens to nations that do this? I’ll give you another hint it’s kind of like Communism or Socialized medicine.

Have you ever heard of a Nuclear Submarine? Do you know how many cities one of our Subs can destroy? They have multiple nuclear tip war heads on each missile. In other words multiple cities/bases/etc can be targeted by one nuclear missile. What’s the point in having a Sub if you never use it? I think that was Ron’s point. Although I agree it should be a last resort weapon.

We need to be reminded what an anti-American “progressive” Wilson was.

The saddest part is that RP has “some” good thoughts which make sense, but then he goes off on that “almost falling off the far right edge of the earth” nonsense.

Is Dr. Paul still running for President? I had no idea that he might be. I don’t think the American people will take a liking to him.

Reagan was “a failure, yes, in, in many ways”. 1. Sandra Day O'Connor 2. Anthony Kennedy 3. Colin Powell promotions 4. Couldn't get his children to vote for him 5. King Day 6. Continuing national debt 7. Abolished no departments except perhaps Interstate Commerce Commission. 8. GHWB Paul may be on to something.

LOL...his across the board tax cuts spurred an expansion that continued from his election, with a few minor blips, up until George W. Bush’s 2 terms.

You may have heard about that whole Soviet Union thing collapsing too.
