The Israel Air Force on Sunday introduced a fleet of large unmanned planes it claims can fly as far as Iran.
Air force officials said the Heron TP drones have a wingspan of 26 meters, making them the size of passenger jets. They said the planes can fly 20 consecutive hours, and are primarily used for surveillance and carrying payloads.
The drones, built by state-owned Israel Aerospace Industries, were first used during Israel's Gaza war last year.
At an inauguration ceremony Sunday, officials refused to say how large the new fleet is or whether the planes were designed for use against Iran.

Probably can fly as far as Iran, AND can carry nukes! LOL.

You beat me to it. If the IAF has drones that can carry a 20Kt nuke, then Iran is toast. Should these be deployed against Iran and Iran defense forces attempt to shoot it down, then a self destruct mechanism will trigger the nuke. QED.

One strategy that has been discussed on the Military Channel has been to use formations of drones to distract and divide a nation’s air defenses and locate air defense radars and missile sites. While the drone formations are being destroyed, fast manned bombers with fighter escort come in low and attack the sites.

Yes, that certainly makes sense as a tactic. Perhaps even the drones themselves could take out a few sites.

Much, much larger than the twelve Shadows just given to Pakistan.
Size does matter.
