The one thing politicians are deathly afraid of is having to leave Washington and get a real job. Most Dems are not going to fall on their sword for Obama and sacrafice what little is left of their ‘careers’ for a losing cause that the American people don’t want.
He is still pushing that secret Health Care crap. It will only go down from here. He is stuck on stupid.
I think after the midterms the acrimony toward him and his obstinancy will grow substantially. I see a disappointing ending for this lightweight.
Interesting table. Only 22% strongly approve. Unemployment, sluggish economy and political failures are shaking the faith of the die hards. Thanks for posting.
Whooooooppppieee. He’s broken through the 23% barrier and is, one may hopey-changey, in free fall down through 20? and below. Maybe his die-hard support isn’t as great as we assumed.
One may always hope, may one not?
“Liberalism is great until it is put into practice.”
The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.
Margaret Thatcher
That is great news.
I last went to the poll a few days ago, and it showed a
rebound for Obozo, -11? And I gather the less he is seen or heard, the better his polls.
I did not go today, because I understand the weekend polls favor the leftist.
“I see a disappointing ending for this lightweight.”
Agree. It will be very interesting to see how a narcissist like Obama deals with the consequences of his own failure to govern.
It is time for another State of the Union speech, that will get his numbers back up again!
I tend to not put too much weight on the daily numbers, paying more attention to the weekly averages. By that measure, Obama has been on a steady downtrend since he took office.
He did a big slip from January to June, stayed static through the summer, and then in the fall resumed his down trend.
The current state is important in what it indicates about the future. Obama likely has a small percentage of strong supporters left among the white middle class. In parties and in the work place, people increasingly can make disparaging remarks about Obama without triggering a tirade from a strong supporter. This will work to further erode his popularity going into the 2010 election season.
I agree with your assessment on his (Obama’s) left-wing, liberal, progressive base numbers, but I disagree with your estimate of Black voter support. Yes, an overwhelming number of Black folk today still support Obama, but that support will erode as more Black folk come to find that Obama will do more damage to them then all the White racists in the world combined. Obama has been President since November 2008. It is now sixteen months later and, he has not done one measurable positive thing for Black folks, or in fact, any minority group at all. Real truth is, he has not done one positive thing for the entire country other then to continue to destroy the American economy and put the country in harm’s wasy. Obama has a left-wing, socialist mission. He could care less about any racial or minority group. He only cares for the destruction of America. Sooner or later, Black folk will come to realize Obama is taking them to the same collective state he wants us all in!!!
Just another indication that America does NOT want the health care bill crammed down our throats!!...wait until Monday!
The same day this poll came out, the American Society of Psychology released the results of a year long study of all their patients, and ironically, that study indicates that 22% of all patients analyzed, have a strong propensity for suicide.
I guess the more odumbo threatens America with health care the more the citizens hate him
Your poster is perfect!
The nice thing about the approval curve is that the SOTU speech didn’t result in any long term (i.e. longer than a few days) change in the overall curve. Take out the SOTU bump and it’s a nice steady downward progression.
Obama’s friends are deserting him.
22% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve
The strongly approve number had been holding at 25% or so for a long time.
That’s exactly why I think Pelosi might not have the votes for this healthcare trick.
Imagine all these members, having started at the bottom: on school boards, village or city councils, state reps, etc. to get to Congress.
To give it up for the doofus in the White House?
uh...no
“He will always have a floor of around 30 to 35% between blacks and hard core liberals/socialists.”
Yes, he will always have the black vote, no matter what he does.
I did see today that “minorities” make up 28%? of the vote?
I am not sure what constitutes minority, but it explains why Obambie is not in the tank, poll wise.
It is hard to understand the polls, Rasmussen, the only one that I watch, how can Obambie go up and down from week to week.
One would think that most people know what he is by now and would either be an American or a neo-Marxist in their opinion.
