This preacher is trying to do the same thing to Rangel that Rangel did to Adam Clayton Powell 40 years ago and it may work. Charlie, of course, ended up out-Powelling Powell.
Rangel hasn’t had an opponent in years. Can you imagine how out of shape his campaigning skills are? To say nothing of his shriveled up mug and his beached whale figure. And here comes this young whippersnapper, all full of piss and vinegar, asking for the vote?
Man, it’s a beautiful thing.
There is a LARGE class of minority conservatives running this year, and they will be tapping into the “Enough is enough” meme. They won’t all win, but a bunch of them will, for sure.
And I hope they form their own caucus, as opposed to the CBC. Maybe they’ll call it the Liberty Caucus, or something like that.
