One such e-mail was in response to a discussion about the 2009 temperature data set and was sent on the 27th of October 2009 from Dr. Michael Mann to the now discredited Dr. Phil Jones. Dr. Mann states the following:

“As we all know, this isn't about truth at all, its about plausibly deniable accusations”

And for this the Nobel Prize was awarded!

The coldest temperature on Earth ever recorded was -89o C was at Vostok Station on the Antarctic plateau in 1983.

Just for reference, so normal Americans understand; -89 Celsius = -129 Fahrenheit. Also, Vostok station reported a temperature of -132 Fahrenheit in 1997, but this was never confirmed and is therefore not considered "official". That's colder than dry ice.

I have an article from the National Geographic, about a volcano in Mexico and its effect on weather. From 1982, before all this AGW rubbish contaminated the airwaves.

It quoted a climatologist who said the atmospheric temperature varies naturally on average of half a degree C per year, so it would be impossible to say what effect the volcanic cloud had on temperatures.It raises the question of how these con artists can claim to measure globally to within .1 degree. The error factor alone would wash out any finding of difference.
