I don’t give standing ovations often, but Beck’s speech brought me to my feet! Great speech and the points he made need to be repeated again and again.

"Out of ALL of the people I listen to, the books I read, the history I have studied, there are only two people in the public eye that GET what it is to be an average American. Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck. And Glenn beck is BETTER at stating the bald faced truth with out regard for party affiliation than anyone I have ever run across."

As I've stated on these FR threads, I was highly impressed with his simple articulation of the original US values and principles that made our Country the envy of the world. However, my eyes started to glaze over when he went into past presidents and how the "progressive" movement originated. I know that stuff, but Joe-six-pack-soccor mom doesn't care. He should stick to the basics of "cause and affect".

As a past activist, I've always said, "bring it home to Joe and Sally every person" and you can make a difference. We, constitutionalists need to make the average citizen understand that bigger government is going to eventually hurt their standard of living. It's a sad fact they don't care about ideology, but they do care about their finances and lifestyle.

The history lesson aside, I was actually clapping in my room when Beck started talking values, principles, self-accountability, self-determination, the importance of liberty in a free market, and the incredible affect our FF's had on the rest of the World, et al.

Pop quiz, as in the TV show "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?"
What year did the peasants storm the Bastille? You got 10 seconds. Anymore, I know you will have Googled.

Go back to England. You are the one who responded to me about some Jesus thing that I never said. If you want to make stupid comments, then grow a hide when someone responds back.

Could not agree more. It’s a shame that CPAC’s conference seemed to be so PC, with no talk about borders, and its inclusion of a gay group who seemed more interested in flaunting their homosexuality than in preserving the republic. Beck, Rush, Levin, all heroes of our Republic!! Bob

Violet asked me to tell you that she finally reached Olympus(sp)

I have no idea what she’s talking about other than that game you were playing on your computer when we were there!

“Surely thou jesteth. A Mormon alcoholic in the White House? Dream on.”

It could be worse, we could have a marxist kenyan in the white house.

Oh wait....

"Beck is a master showman. When I first saw him on Fox, Glenn made me uneasy with his populist pap about both parties do it and the need for an ‘alternative’. Then out of the blue he decides to slam the ‘birthers’. So much for questioning with boldness and upholding the Constitution. I won’t listen to him anymore. He reminds of Newt. He’s a great speaker too. Then he goes and sits on the couch with Nancy Pelosi and warns us about global warming.

With due respect, don't ready your camera or bookmark to see Glen Beck with Pelosi or even Newt on the same infomercial. He may not be up to speed on the "birther" issue, but if you have an honest bone in your body, Beck has been on the cutting edge and dissed everyone, except Constitutionalists. Isn't that what this is all about?

If he worked for CNN, that would have been his deathnell. Oh, wait, it was. That's why he went to Fox.

Listen, I don't carry water for anyone other than my wife and my little dog, but Beck is informing people about our Constitutional heritage and many other matters. So what if he doesn't buy into the "birther" thing? I do, but still appreciate the clownish Beck to be putting things on a chalkboard most of America has never seen.

After watching his keynote speech at CPAC today, I was actually clapping my hands in my own house and even stood up for one of his ovations. So, I give Beck a 9.8 out 10. I'd give him another 1/10th percent if he backed away from his buffoonish antics on his daily show.

So, you're just going to tune him out because he doesn't buy into an unproven theory about Obama's heritage? Again, I think he's wrong, but with all the good he's doing by informing Americans about our heritage and the negative direction we're heading, I give him A BIG FAT PASS!

So what if he doesn't buy into the "birther" thing?

I'm not even sure Beck doesn't "buy" it. He just knows it can't be proven and decided he wasn't going to die on that hill.

I know Soetero is hiding something... probably that he's the son of a child-molesting communist named Frank. But I know we'll never know that for sure.

So true! Small business people feel it when they have to lay of their people. We laid off all five of ours and quit using a bookeeper, so we can survive on 5X less business this year. We are blessed we still have business! My hubby comes home exhausted, doing the whole business alone, the kids and I work a couple days a week too. Glenns story about working at his fathers bakery is so right on...some of us are still living that way.

It worked for me but did not show it in it’s entirety. Should be repeated in 26 minutes per C-span’s website.
