I didn’t click the link but isn’t it a fact that the U.K. won’t give up a prisoner to the U.S. without a promise of no death penalty?
It is a European Union policy to not exchange prisoners without a waiver of death penalty.
I guess that is what keeps the likes of Mumia Abu Jamaal, cozy in France.
I know Mexico does that. They won’t extradite unless there’s an agreement of no death penalty.
But - they accept millions of dollars from the US for abortions.
Interesting parallel, I’d say.
