Ryan Sorba booed off CPAC stage for anti-homosexual remarks
Right Pundits ^ | Feb 19, 2010 | Donald Borsch Jr.

Ryan Sorba, from the Young Americans for Freedom organization’s California chapter, was booed off the stage tonight at CPAC, for deriding CPAC’s choice to have GOProud attend CPAC, even going so far as to say he “condemns CPAC”. Not the sort of thing one would say when invited to speak at the biggest gathering of Conservatives who look to CPAC for guidance and networking.

That’s way too nice. Send them to jail, specifically to general pop, and tell all the inmates that they are child molesters. Then see how long such scum will last.

First of I am not gay, but not all gay people believe in that.

A lot gay people are responsible enough not to support that.

Do they have special parades? Teach kids about it in schools? Have special laws passed just for them?

No?

Then there is no equivalency. And at least it’s man/woman sex (or could be, you didn’t mention that part). So it is at least an act against nature.

No. I think we need to stop that without sounding like we just hate homosexuals.

I’m not talking about what Ryan said in his speech, I’m talking about some of the responses here at FR to that speech.

I think booing a speaker in general is bad form.

I'll allow that there may be homosexual conservatives who do NOT support the militant gay rights agenda including civil unions and gay marriage, open homosexual expression in the military, and who understand and value the sanctity and importance of the traditional family.

But I suspect these conservatives make NO public issue of their own homosexuality and, in fact, take public positions at complete variance with the homosexual agenda. If there are such conservatives, they did not boo Ryan Sorba at CPAC. They applauded him.

Never does.   It didn't end well the last time they managed to gain control of a republic either - in Nazi Germany.

The homosexuals who don’t promote the homosexual agenda are silent. Except for Tammy Bruce and I haven’t heard anything from her lately.

So AFAIAC, the “good” homosexuals are like “good” Muslims.

If they are so good, they should condemn their radical brethren and sisteren.

crickets chirping, and all that.

I don’t care.

Its happening.

It has 66 House sponsors.

I bet they ALL support the bill that will make it possible.

I’m sick and tired of being told I should be “nicer”. Being “nice” is what has gotten this country to the pit it’s in.

Being “nice” to radicals who break every single rule gets the shit beat out of you.

It’s not liberals I care about, it’s the hundred million “independents” that either vote, or COULD vote if we convinced them it was worth their time, and who are looking to keep government out of their business, not looking for a holy war.

I don’t want them in my party picking my candidates, but I want them to vote for my candidates in November.

This isn’t a foreign concept, and people here at FR understand it, like all those who actually sent money to Scott Brown, a man who isn’t anti-homosexual but is against gay marriage, and isn’t pro-life but at least wants to keep government out of funding abortions. (I couldn’t send money to a pro-abortion candidate like Brown, but I don’t fault those here who did).

I will abide no 'special rights', no radical agenda, and would stridently be against public displays of affection or flaunting of an 'alternate lifestyle'.

But a peaceful, liberty loving, 'live and let live' member of society is certainly welcome.

Ya know ... I'm fairly "live and let live" person myself.

However, in terms of acceptable Societal Norms, the majority has to draw a line somewhere.

I think NOT SUPPORTING a lifestyle that does NOT promote the continuation of the human species is a pretty good line to draw.

The slippery slope argument may be overused, but it's true nonetheless ...

Unchecked, this:

is normalized to this:

Until it becomes SO NORMALIZED that it becomes a part of regular Societal Norms
and is even acceptable to have people in positions of leadership promoting the lifestyle,
like Obama's "Safe School Czar" Kevin Jennings:

If you think comments on this thread or like threads on FR are “mean”, you ought to read homosexual screeds. Make this thread sound like a six year old girls’ tea party.

It won’t end if people don’t buck up and stand up to the brownshirts. It will get worse.

I think it is bad to boo anyone in this situation. If you agree clap, if you disagree don't. I really wish that the GOP would stop talking about morality, because, like it or not, it is the GOP that gets dinged for hypocrisy

Sad that so called “conservatives” at CPAC are losing their moral compass. Reagan would be horrified by the gay agenda taking hold at CPAC.
