The speaker, Ryan Sorba, was introduced to talk about his experiences with the ACORN investigation. Before he could even say a word the boos started from the assorted gay activists in the crowd. (Sorba is a frequent critic of the homosexual lifestyle).
Note that only AFTER the boos began did Sorba change the subject to condemning CPAC for inviting GOProud to CPAC.
He became flustered as any young man in such a situation would be on national TV, at a supposedly "conservative" event, being booed by homosexual activists...but his response that "Lesbians at Smith college protest better than you do" was pretty funny.
I guess CPAC is being infiltrated by ‘progressive’ elements. Disgusting.
Sure, a more experienced speaker would have handled it a bit better, but its easy to stand up for what you believe along with a crowd of thousands, but to do it in front of such boos and cat-calls...the young man is very brave IMHO.
But, that's not the case. Even if the GOP wrote into its platform a celebration of homosexual marriage and even performed one at the convention, we still wouldn't get any more of the homo vote than we get now - which is squat, bupkis, nada none. So, I say ignore them. We have nothing to gain and everything to lose. JMHO.

If this is allowed to continue, we lose out party.
agreed
Hang around GOP activists, you would be shocked how many of them are homosexual.
I am no fan of "the homosexual lifestyle" but I think we would be much better off advancing broad agendas of less government and individual freedom that that vast majority of people share common ground on then worrying about what people do in their bedrooms.
bttt
Seriously?
Saw it today. He was good.
Ounce upon a time our great party stood for broad themes of individual and economic freedoms. If we have gotten to the situation that the party's existence depends on this issue, we have already lost.
It was a time where students where speaking and it was mostly college students booing.
Then maybe the homos should shut the F88K up and stop trying to force normal people to accept their lifestyle as acceptable at gunpoint.
I really don’t see what the Republican leadership think they gain by this. The Log Cabin Republicans have been a traitorous, trouble-making bunch for as long as I can remember.
All they succeed in doing is angering their base, while the great majority of these folks continue to vote for the Democrats. It’s not a big tent, it’s a sure-fire formula for a much smaller tent.
As for CPAC, they have turned into a very questionable and unreliable organization.
Our party, our country, our lives.
I agree.
I’ve had “disagreements” with a few homosexual supporters on FR. Amazingly, they try to justify the behavior with scripture.
When I’ve pointed out indisputable evidence that God condemns the behavior, they say I’m “Angry” and “Full of Hatred.”
Go figure...
I don’t think it’s right to shout any speaker down. That’s what liberal slime do. Looks like a militant homosexual group planned the protest. In the midst of fighting two wars, do we really want to inject open homosexuality into our armed forces? I think not!
