Another leader of the Afghan Taliban has been captured by authorities in Pakistan working in partnership with U.S. intelligence officials. Taliban sources in the region and a counterterrorism officials in Washington have identified the detained insurgent leader as Mullah Abdul Salam, described as the Taliban movement's "shadow governor" of Afghanistan's Kunduz province.

Taliban sources told NEWSWEEK's Sami Yousafzai that Salam was grabbed by Pakistani security forces in the city of Faisalabad about a week ago—close to the same time that Pakistani forces, again with American support, captured the Afghan Taliban's No. 2 leader, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, in Karachi. Hmmm. This may be proof that the Pakistani version of waterboarding works.

Nah. I dont buy that.
It would be interesting to hear what the side deal is from Obama for Pakistan volunteering these men. Two high profile in a week? That could be water boarding. It could be Paki cooperation due to Obama giving them nuclear technologies. Guaranteed its not as simple or easy as it seems. Something was given up of greater value than their jihadi values.

This is protection for these terrorists... just like aq khan... we will not get these men and they will not be allowed interviews by US intel... it is all smoke and mirrors to make hussein look good and to funnel more tax $$$ to hussein’s brethren.

call me paranoid, but I get this bad feeling Soros & Co. have leaned on the Pakis to find and hand over Bin Laden so that Barry’s poll numbers will zoom northward and they can finally finish implementing Operation Global Socialism
