A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely Indiana voters shows former GOP Congressman John Hostettler leading Baron Hill 49% to 31% and Brad Ellsworth 46% to 27%.

Coats 48, Hill 42
Coats 46, Ellsworth 32
Stutzman 41, Hill 33
Stutzman 40, Ellsworth 30
Go Hostettler!
So Hostettler polls better then Coats in an open race but people were trying to say Coats was the only hope when Bayh was in? LOL
Isn’t Coats cozy with Chavez?
Hostettler and Stutzman seem to me to be better bets versus Ellsworth. The optics of an Ellsworth - Coats run are not good, and Ellsworth would have a great wedge issue (2nd Amendment) to bludgeon Mr. Brady Bill with.
Nah, that was just one of the more far-fetched charges the Dems came up with.
These results indicate that if the Republican nominee makes a good showing he should win. But, I dont’t think Hostettler is up to it. He is a light wegiht who cannot raise money makes many gaffes and once was arrested for carrying a gun onto an airplane. He lost a strong seat that he should of held even in a bad year by 60-40%. He just doesn’t have it. Ellsworth is a god candidate. I think the more voters find out about him the harder it will be to win this seat, that ought to go GOP under normal circumstance.
Ellsworth voted for porkulus and pelosicare. That’s serious baggage.
Hill voted for both too. Plus, he is seen on You Tube acting like a petty tyrant.
Hill is a maggot-riddled hunk of sh!t.
People forget that the tea-party movement started locally in Indianapolis in 2007 (when Bart and his tax raising council cronies were voted out of office). We are not going to move backwards and elect tax and deficit-spend weasels anymore.
Ideally, Ellsworth runs for Senate and loses to Coats. Republicans then can win his open seat and Mike Sodrel will take care of Baron Hill. Three takeovers in one state would be nice, especially considering how early Indiana reports on Election Night. It’ll be the first sure sign of the Republican wave.
Joe Donnelly’s seat is very much in play as well; Jackie Walorski is a good candidate. Probably would be a close win if she can pull it off, though.
Surprising Hostettler is polling so well. Very cool
Thank you, I just shot a piece of coffee cake through my nose.
Thanks
