I’d like to dismiss the old ladies that pour on the chemically-laden cologne (because their sense of smell has diminished and they don’t know when to stop) and come and plop next to me at mass.

I am with you, there. I can put up with nearly any amount of natural odors, but chemical perfumes make my eyes bleed. I'll take the train... and I won't be found in coach... I'd rather be in a livestock car...
