I read it more along the lines of the auto industry was getting money that should never have been taken from the masses (i.e., the taxpayers). Still, not a commie ideal.
I don’t doubt (and never did, if you read my first post) that this guy was influenced by commies. But I still maintain that he’s a garden-variety nutcase, not a lefty nutcase or a righty nutcase.
He was attacking the "fat cat" owners. That's anti-capitalism, left wing communism if you ask me. He didn't say anything about the left wing unions who caused the companies demise in the first place - just the owners.
If you keep reading, it's the business "owners" he hates, not those who are screwing them up.
