Rush is right! Sarah rocks!!!
You got a good point. This politics stuff is slightly more complicated than a ball game.
Oh silly you, to the Palin bashers, this is proof positive that Rush now endorses McCain...........
Here, try this:
Rush explains Palin's decision, Palin endorses McCain, McCain supported amnesty for illegals. Therefore Rush also supports illegal immigration regardless of what he's said in the past.......
1+1+1 = 3 You can't deny logic..........
Rush was pretty explicit in saying he’s not defend her or criticizing her but stating what he thinks she is doing. If you want to complain then I suppose your complaint is with the fact that he said that her decision doesn’t in anyway change his view of her because to him, it’s all about policy
There was a a lot of that over on one of the Fred threads yesterday. I got attacked for trying to defend Fred’s decision.
FReepers have an accent? Who knew?
Why is this hard?? (It's not).
I completely agree with that. My personal dream with regard to this primary race between McQueeg and Hayworth, is that McQueeg (or wife/daughter) does something so stupid, so postal, that he gives Sarah the wide opening, huge fat pitch, to say "you know what, John has stepped over the line so much with _______ that I need to withdraw my endorsement ....."
We ALL know that McQueeg (or daughter) is more than capable of a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part...and John, you're just the guy to do it!
so Mrs Palin is only a national figure because of mcqueeg, so shes beholdin to that evil sob to 'dance' with him, when there are candidates in the field who would 'represent' her policies more accurately ???
political expediency [for selfish needs] and lack of conviction are the problems with this system of human governance in the first place, glad she showed her cards this early...
i think we have truly come to a place where there is no possible way to enter major league politics without selling out, lest youre cornered and ineffective...at that point, no amount of voting for politicians is gonna reverse the ship...
my .02
Sounds like the action of a feminist, actually.
If you had read her book, you would know that "the good old boys network", actually called themselves the "Corrupt Bastards Club". And even had golf shirts and I think even hats made up with CBC on them!
Corrupt AND arrogant!
That no one with integrity (like Sarah Palin) should enter politics and that we should leave the country in the hands of the wolves because of a few unpleasantries??
What is the answer, in your esteemed opinion?
btw, you correctly called that "blaspheme" thing. Your buddy does it often, and it should concern you if you care about him.
You remember how upset everybody got at George W. Bush back when Specter was still a Republican, was running in the primary against Pat Toomey, and Specter was a Republican disaster, but Bush is out there endorsing him and raising money and I think he did a couple campaign appearances, and people: What the hell is this? Why didnt he get behind Toomey? Where are the conservatives? It is a problem in a lot of peoples views. This is just how parties work.
...
This is why, folks, the tea party movement must stay oriented on reclaiming the Republican Party and not going third party, but reclaiming it, and then establishing a new set of principles here that rewards conservatism first, foremost, and down the line.
...
Theres this new group of Republicans called the Mount Vernon group, and theyre coming out with position papers on stuff. The Republican Party is fighting the tea party people now for control of the party, theres a big battle going on. And I think personally four or five of these very prominent members of this Mount Vernon group said, Im not joining if the social issues are going to be part of our mission statement, I dont want any part of it, meaning they dont want this party having a thing to say about any social issue, not just abortion, but anything else thats cultural. They want it to remain fiscal and political only, not cultural. So the battle is going to be raging. And I hate to put words in Sarah Palins mouth because Im just guessing and Im neither defending nor criticizing, Im just observing and I think I understand why shes doing this. I dont think in her mind she has a choice. She wouldnt be who she is, she wouldnt have all of this opportunity in front of her had McCain not chosen her. So this is the obligatory payback and I think after this its over.
uh oh, whatever you do, don't put your tongue on the frozen flag pole!
No, Rush you are wrong on this.
Rush is exactly right... the Tea Party needs to reclaim the GOP... go to it... :-) and Rush is explaining how it works... as he said, that's politics and that's how it works. And I don't want any of that "Mount Vernon group" either... those dolts! [we've got some of those here, too...]
Right on Rush! Preach it baby! :-)

Exactly. If it is alright for her to compromise her principles, including that she will only support "common sense conservatives", because of her need to "pay back" McCain, what other principles are we to expect she will compromise if she deems other "pay backs" necessary?
Slathering up with mustard now.
