Conservative commentator and Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin announced Wednesday that she is endorsing Republican Sean Duffy in his race for Wisconsin's 7th Congressional seat.

Duffy is taking on Democratic incumbent U.S. Rep. Dave Obey.

Palin referred to Duffy as a "brave soul" and a "daring David: who is taking on a liberal Goliath."

Rep. Obey has been a mainstay in Washington D.C., having represented the state's 7th Congressional District since 1969.

Sean Duffy, 37, has served as the Ashland County district attorney since 2002 and is also a professional lumberjack and a former cast member of the MTV reality show "The Real World Boston."

No, it's a different Sarah Palin.

And you're a genius.

Please...either you are not up to date on political facts, or you are expecting that Sarah should get a pass for campaigning for John McCain. You should either get a conservative view or join the Republican muddle...

1) Sarah Palin has political sway to endorse a candidate in the AM and by the evening reach his ‘money bomb’ goal.
2) Sean Duffy is now a player and will soon get a lot of attention from Fox News and right-wing talk radio and springboard this to raising more money.
3)Palin now has a presence in Wisconsin and the mid-west where she hopes to make significant inroads.

Actually, Sarah Palin didn’t endorse McCain. It was Jeri Thompson, pretending to be Palin..

Ha, hopefully, that is factual... Otherwise, she would be disappointing way too many constituents.

Maybe she needs to change her name then...heh. If she is going to lead (or at least follow) the Tea Party, she should have similar values.

She a quitter too! Did you know that? Yes! She quit her job as governor! She also said she could see Russia from her house? How stupid, huh? And she endorsed McCain (ooops...we mentioned that, didn't we?)...anyways she can't get elected even thought she isn't running for anything because she is polarizing...remember that...its the latest from the Center for American Progress...the woman who is the best draw the Tea party has is "polarizing"...try to work it into every sentence when posting about her..

She’s polarizing too. All the good ones are polarizing.

The McCain endorsement was a necessary evil. If she had endorsed J.D., the media would be all over the story. They would all say that she was not supporting McCain because of bad blood, she was out to get him, or some other evil reason. If she explained that McCain was not conservative enough - a gotcha moment. "He was conservative enough for you to run as his VP, but not conservative enough to be a senator now??"

I would guess that privately she hopes J.D. wins the primary, and I'd guess that she'll support him in the general if he wins the primary.

I'll give her a pass on this one. Now if it happens again, .........that's a different story.

Perhaps the most popular among insiders but Sarah drags in the outsiders. Look at Daytona and the logging conference in Redding.

oh but you missed the attack they would have made with great relish:

“She’s a homophobe. She won’t endorse McCain because his wife and daughter are now endorsing gay marriage.”

For the libs, that’s kind of a two-fer.

Daytona was a Tea Party event?

No. It's a motorcar race. It began in 1959. Jamie McMurray won it this year. Google Daytona 500. There is lots more information on it than I can give you here.

“She a quitter too! Did you know that? Yes! She quit her job as governor!”

Geez fellow...what the heck are you doing her at FreeRepublic?

Yes, she quit her job for good reasons. Can you even begin to understand the reasons? I doubt it.

“She also said she could see Russia from her house? How stupid, huh? And she endorsed McCain (ooops...we mentioned that, didn’t we?)”.

This is direct from the Democratic talking points - untrue of course, but it does not keep people like you from repeating the lie.

You sir, seem to be wearing a bit of a disguise my friend. I actually love Sarah Palin, her beliefs, and her ideas. I just don’t want her supporting the likes of McCain! So get off your high horse (of idiocy) and go away...
