The definition of an optimist is “a pessimist in training”.
Most likely that's because he is always sipping his and you are always filling yours. :-)

I do not have time for Mensa. I would rather be known for what I accomplish, not for a test score and membership in this elitist group. I am an optimist, resulting from analysis of any situation as an opportunity to succeed by finding solutions. There are no problems, only opportunities. Positive solutions result from that starting premise.
