The reality is, most IP addresses are checked *because* of past trolls. Don't blame the site owner or mods- blame the people who's actions made it so.

Thanks for addressing this issue head on. "Newbies" are a concern at every forum on the planet.

I understand measures must be taken at larger conservative forums like this, but paranoia and unfounded accusations of "troll" and "disruptor" are not fair. And it's not right. Especially of those who espouse conservative values and arrive to Free Republic to share those values. I didn't come here to get my kicks out of pulling the wings off of butterflies for sport.
