YEah, pretty much. I mean, these guys look bad but, governments aren’t good at taking proactive steps to make a change down the road. Not in a “democracy” at least. Maybe if we hadn’t sold out the republic. That was the reason it was designed the way it was.

Varney was saying this morning that they are throwing up their hands and saying they can’t fix it. And how can they? Who can cut medicare, medicaid or Social Security?

Nope, the fix won’t come until the money isn’t there to pay the bill, and actually that probably won’t happen, what will happen is they will be paying the bills with worthless scrip.

Laffer was on Beck recently - he sounded eerily optimistic. He said the actions will be taken when things get bad enough, not before. Raising Social Security to age 77 among other things. But Social Security has sucked away my ability to make my own nest egg. What am I suppsed to do?

We need to shrink the federal government down to as few duties as possible.

1. National Defense and defend the coast and border
2. Hunt down spies and traitors
3. Federal courts should keep watch for states violating our rights.
4. Hunt down and execute child pornographers
5. Make sure every state uses the same weights and measures
6. Make sure states do NOT violate free trade within the US
7. Try not to make any more enemies abroad

I think thats about it. Everything else should be done by the states or not done by government period.
