Neither did Ted Kennedy nor Tom Daschle’s brother: both went to Duke Hospital for their high-end care even though Senator Kennedy and Tom Daschle spent great gobs of time criticizing the U.S. health system and arguing that a single-payer system such as Canada’s would be much better. The hypocrisy of the Clintons is by no means unique: it is emblematic of the progressive chattering class that is eager to craft “expert” solutions/systems to impose on the rest of America but never willing to have their own care/quality constrained by those very same systems.
