Why not just stop up on sales of canned goods at local markets?

Even MRE's only have a shelf life of 3 to 5 years. #10 cans have a shelf life of 25 to 30 years. I want to put these away and for get about them.

As far as a record trail, that does not concern me as much, especially as I will be hiding them.

What about the 5 gallon pails that are vacuum packed with various kinds of wheat? If the vacuum holds are those good almost indefinitely? What if the vacuum packed pails are stored in the summer at 80 to 90 degrees F. How much am I losing there? Thanks.
