Hafer to run for Murtha's seat

Former Auditor General Barbara Hafer confirmed today that she had decided to enter the race to succeed Rep. Jack Murtha in the 12th Congressional District.

When she ran for governor the late Bob Novak said she was so far to the left it was more like she was running for president of NOW. Let us hope she loses this one big too.

She is a flake but has huge name recognition in that district and statewide for that matter.
She'll be tough to beat IMHO. Hope Col. Russell can pull it off.

Could be, but I don’t see her doing it. She’s pushing 80.
She’d have the hassle of campaigning in 9 counties plus the fear of humiliation a defeat would bring.
She’s better off staying out of it, maybe endorsing the D who gets the nod.
