Another Dem in Congress implodes
The American Thinker ^ | February 14, 2010 | Rosslyn Smith

Saturday's Boston Globe reported that Congressman William Delahunt may not run for reelection.

"US Representative William Delahunt said yesterday that he is considering retiring from his congressional seat representing the South Shore and Cape Cod, although he portrayed his deliberations as routine and said they are not related to challenges from Republicans who are energized by Scott Brown's upset victory in last month's special Senate election.

'Every election cycle, I take my time, I think it through, and I think, not about whether I can win or lose, but: ‘Am I in a position to make a difference?' Delahunt, a Quincy Democrat, said in a telephone interview. 'Can I achieve what I want to achieve outside of public life?'"

The timing of this story is interesting because yesterday the Boston media was also full of stories of one of Delahunt's more dubious achievements in public office, his role in the 1986 decision classify the shotgun death of Amy Bishop's 18 year old brother, Seth, as an accident.

We saw a similar rash of Democrat retirements and party switches in the ‘90’s when they saw that they were losing their precious power.

I heard that Joseph P. Kennedy III is thinking about running for Delahunt’s seat.

If 0’b turns out to be unqualified to be prez all will be null and void,,,and the RATS may have to change the RAT party name to ‘’the treason party.’’ Or have it changed for them.

Yes, Mr Delahunt would have to be color blind not see that his district (except for Islands and the ‘light in the loafers’ crowd in Provincetown) was painted red. Now coupled with the allegation that he let go a mass-murderer. His usefulness is about up. Save us all the headaches and just retire.

Retirements we can deal with. Party switches means we end up with more RINO’s.

The parents address and phone number was easy enough to find on the internet. I’ll bet the mother is deluged with media (as well as law enforcement) who are asking her why she lied about the death of her son.

Was the DA’s race, (or her race) a factor in his decision?

Sounds like a “good buddy” “friend of the court” decision.

Maybe, that is the real fear that liberal/crooks have of waterboarding.

She shot her brother on Dec 6th. The State police report says she was too emotional to be interviewed that day and was remanded to the custody of her parents.

Police did not call her and her family back in for another interview until Dec 17th.

Eleven days! Was was going on in that time period? I bet Delahunt spent the time making the police chief and others offers they could not refuse.
