Biden: Cheney 'misinforming' on terror

WASHINGTON — Vice President Joe Biden on today belittled Dick Cheney's criticism of the Obama administration's commitment to fighting terrorism as either "misinformed or he is misinforming" and said the Iraq war wasn't worth it because of "the horrible price" paid.

The former vice president fired back gently at his successor, saying, "I guess I shouldn't be surprised by my friend Joe Biden." Cheney also said that he disagreed with decisions by Bush officials to place shoe bomber Richard Reid on trial in civilian court and to release terrorism suspects from the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The public back-and-forth between current and former administrations played out across the Sunday talks like a pingpong match: Biden's NBC appearance taped Saturday night from the Olympics in Canada, allowing Cheney to respond on ABC's "This Week," before Biden answered later on CBS' "Face the Nation."

I watched both interviews and didn't find one part of Cheney's interview that was “misleading”.
David Gregory is a punk who didn't even bother asking Biden for an example of where Cheney was trying to “rewrite history”.

Somehow, some way, somebody has to start telling America the truth about the anthrax attacks which followed 9-11, and which were the real reason for our going into Iraq. You simply cannot let anybody get away with something like that. Moreover, Saddam Hussein never slept in the same place two nights in a row and had fifty body doubles. There was no such thing as taking him out individually from 20000 feet; the two real world choices were nuke the place, or go into it, that was it.

The other part of the story which nobody has ever spoken of is that we needed to go into Iraq the day after that first anthrax attack, and were not able to due to the condition which SlicKKK KKKlinton had left our military in, we had to build for two years before we could do it. Even simple things like machinegun barrels just weren't there.

I agree. Have you ever read Lori Mylorie's articles after the attack? I fully ascribed, then and now, to her theories.

Do you remember the Great Satan who used to post here? I thought he was onto to things also.

Remember Dick Cheney's words in the Woodward book Bush at War when pressed about a state sponsor. Cheney says, "It’s good that we don’t (mention a state sponsor) because we’re not ready to do anything about it."

who’s misleading whom? now we learn this a.m. that the Christmas Day bomber was Mirandized hours after capture, not the 50 minutes we were told a few weeks ago. that means that when Brennan called the leaders of Congress the bomber hadn’t been Mirandized, so no way they could have assumed he was. what is the truth here? and does anyone in the Administration actually know it? if they can’t handle the Christmas event, what will become of us with this group in power during a real disaster? this is truly troubling.
